The Youth Group is not operational at the minute. Please keep an eye out for developments.

The Music Group is under the Directorship of Patrick Donellan.
Patrick guides each of our choirs with the appropriate Music and hymns for each season of our Liturgical Calendar. We have several choirs within our Music Ministry, each with their own director and style of delivering the Liturgical Praise.
Lyn Dwyer leads the St John the Baptist Choir and organises the rehearsal dates and times with the choir members. This choir is in attendance for special occasions and special Feast days as well as their rostered weekend Masses

Develops and fosters a Christian Community atmosphere whereby the spiritual and social needs of parishioners can be realised through a total stewardship program of giving of their time, service and their finances (“time, talent and treasure”) resulting in a sense of belonging, involvement and commitment.
Its main concern is to ensure that budget and actual performance are explained and documented. Collections, expenses, assets, maintenance and insurance are under continual review. The Committee has the responsibility of recommending future parish financial commitments to the Parish Priest.
The Piety Stall is found at the front of our church and is open before and after each weekend Mass.
It is stocked with devotional items that are suitable as gifts for Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion and the like. There is always a supply of rosaries, statues, candles and cards. If we don’t have an item in stock we can endeavour to source it for you.
Suzanne French is responsible for the ordering and supplies, along with rostering any willing volunteers to help out in the Stall.
If you are interested in helping out in the Piety Stall please contact 024341 1073.

The Multicultural Choir have been singing together since our church was opened in 2007.
It is comprised of both men and women from at least 8 different nations of the world. They bring together their beautiful tones and harmonies from their cultural styles of singing and blend into a warm and prayerful sound.
Cynthia conducts the group who are led by Tess Morrison.
If you are interested in joining this group or learning more about them please contact Tess on 02 4341 1073

Children’s Liturgy is the Liturgy of the Word for children
Children leave the main church service to celebrate the Sunday Gospel in an age-appropriate way. They are led by adults and it includes simplified readings, songs, prayers and activities to help children understand and engage with the message of God’s word. The children return to the service at the time of the Offertory and remain with their families until Mass has ended.
Christine French leads our team of facilitators for this Ministry. Christine can assist anyone wanting to be involved with this wonderful ministry. Her guidance will teach you how to prepare for the day’s Gospel and what activities are suitable to go with it If you are interested in becoming involved, please contact our parish office on 024341 1073.

Every home needs to be cleaned and God’s house is no different.
Once a week a group of 4-6 people gather to clean our beautiful church. They vacuum, mop, dust and clean the stained glass.
They create a fresh and healthy environment for all members of the congregation to be able to visit.
Christine French is the leader of this group and develops a roster for our cleaners.
If you have some spare time and are interested in helping this ministry please contact 024341 1073

A roster is compiled every three months to give each person the opportunity to share the Scripture Readings

Catechists play an important role within the life of the Church, but it is one that can sometimes be hidden away. Through the work of The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) Broken Bay, catechists are sent into public schools to provide Catholic Special Religious Education to young people. CCD catechists undertake a vital evangelising role, educating children and young people and forming them in the Catholic faith. Catechists can often represent a young person’s first encounter with the Good News. This year in our Parish, we have 7 teachers and assistants going to the 4 Primary Schools in Woy Woy, Woy Woy South, Umina and Ettalong and educating a total of 283 children from Kinder through to Year 6.
If you are interested in joining this rewarding ministry in our Parish, please contact the Parish Office or speak with one of the Priests. It only takes one hour of your time per week during school terms. You can start slowly by first becoming an assistant. Full training and mentoring will be provided. Working With Children Check would be required.
